i sure miss working on minis and dollhouses. real life has intruded on my mini world and i'm so ready to escape back into my favorite world. i really want to work on my garfield, i just need more wood to form my extensions. i'll have to search home depot and lowes i guess. i don't want to side my house until i can see if the extensions that i desire are feasible. i refuse to use foam core board.

anyway, my contributions to my mini life this past month were to buy a much sought after house (by me for the past couple of years), the Rosedale. I got a smokin' deal on it! I also bought another Beacon Hill kit which I purchased just a few days ago. i need to pop it open and inspect it. i got a great deal on it. I also found a great furniture piece by Jiayi (a couch of sorts) and a bespaq bed which i have been wanting. I just won it on ebay and i'm sooo thrilled! i have been on the lookout for this bed and was able to get it for half the price that i found anywhere else! ;) I plan for it to live in the Foxhall!

This month has been very topsy turvy. first with my dad being in the hospital, his death, his funeral and all the time we have spent going thru his household. There is still more to do there. I didn't think it would take so long but i guess 75 years of life brings alot of years of accumulation. My own life has been in complete uproar. My house is a disaster of sorts. I need to completely go thru it top to bottom and clean, rearrange and discard. It's overwhelming. I have also started painting the whole interior. That is actually the place to start, the paint will give it a whole new look, and is much needed. From there i can go thru boxes in the basement and use what i want to decorate, and donate the rest. From there I can go thru my miniatures and get them organized. I know i can consolidate alot of items. Somewhere in all of the craziness I want to find room for creativity and construction as well as decorating my mini world. I think by this spring the above mentioned areas in my life should be in order. Next comes Spring and my need to get my yard in shape. I plan on doing that this year. I have long neglected areas of my life and my yard is certainly one of them. I hope that in a year or so, i will be able to put my real life house on the market and move out of state. Lots of changes this year and more to come. It's scary but feels good and has made me want more out of life. That's a good thing i guess. ;) Well on that note, it's time to wind down and get ready for bed. gotta work in the morning. Missing the mini world......me
