Okay so i went thru all my dollhouse goodies in the basement. i had a hard time finding furniture that is not victorian! I had a really hard time finding something that would even sort of go in a cabin (the only thing i bought for this cabin was the kitchen table set, which i repainted and still need to upolster the seats)...i will probably repaint it again at some point, not crazy about the tabletop. Oh, and the cut bear table in the front room. Anyway i took some shots with some of the items that i found to decorate with...by far, this is not all the accessories that i have found today...lol...i won't have room for everything i found today

....a couple of problems: the kitchen table is missing a leg so it's not sturdy at the moment, so i couldn't put much on it. same with the stove. the kitchen sink is in pieces and needs to be reglued, so i couldn't put it in the house for photos. i was going to use it (the sink) in the beacon hill but it was too tall (i've since purchased a new one for the bh. the cabinet in the kitchen came unglued so the top portion is just sitting on it. one of the beds needs to be reglued.

So anyway, if i use the sofa and chairs (the red and white striped), they obviously need to be reupolstered. that is why i grabbed the sectional...even that has problems. the person i bought it from had a great idea for making it, she just didn't do the best job. I may just go ahead and use it anyway since it matches the rug in the room. so please note that this cabin is not really how i will decorate it, but it will have some of these elements to it. today was just a throw together quick type of decor...just because i was in the mood to do something and wanted to see what it would look like. as many items as i have to decorate with, i obviously need to decorate another house!!!!! so i will do a victorian house as well sometime in the next couple of weeks...that means digging thru my goodies in the basement again, but thats okay i'm missing some stuff that i didnt' see today that i know i have. So after i redecorate this cabin and then decorate the victorian house (either the BH or the Granville) I will post new photos! I jsut wanted you to see some of my fun minis that i have for christmas otherwise i wouldn't bother posting photos yet. I love the doll in the box. i think the cover comes off and it's a real doll! I also love the VHS tapes, they are individual and you can see the pictures and read what movies they are! i purchased them a few years ago...along with the vcr and tv.
