Well I took some shots of the granville with the trim/railings dry fitted....still need to glue them in place. I also took interior shots of the rooms with doors in them. I like the look an actual door gives a room. So far on my 1/8" plywood houses i haven't put doors inside...don't know why, just haven't. Anyway, they still need to be stained and of course polyurethaned. I can't wait to see the finished product! I love the contrast of stained wood against wallpaper.

I moved the door over on the second floor to make more room for a staircase. I hope it's over enough. I'm waiting on a couple of new staircases to arrive. The staircases that i had purchased for this house initially were a bargain but they are older and not quite scale...you have to put them together and since I had widened the staircase holes I was going to have to modify the staircase kits anyway. Plus, they were rather long and didn't really fit with the house anyway. I hope the new stairs will work with where I repositioned the doorway, otherwise i'll be moving it again...lol...I'll wait to wallpaper both sides of the wall until after i dry fit the new stairs just to be on the safe side. Anyway, i think i will work on the foundation (filling in gaps with spackle) and maybe work on the chimneys. Not sure i'm in the mood to glue in the railings today. We shall see. This weekend i hope to get alot done on the exterior. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks i'll be completely done with this house! I know i have so many projects in the works but I've been getting this itch to start either the Garfield or the Willowcrest as soon as i finish this rehab project....then again i've been wanting to start my Thornhill rehab.....I'll go with the flow!
