booboos and frustration

well I had a huge problem with the beam and stair assembly.

it just would not come to me how to fix it. ;)

so Linda and Jimmy had to e-mail me the photos with the solution to my dilema.

photo #1 the boo boo

I put the railings in...incorrectly! but of course which made the beam not fit.

once I saw the photos I was able to adjust and cut out the notches needed for the beam to fit in the correct place. #2

my next issue was the fact I wanted to stucco inside and out.

spackling was NOT the answer. and so I made my own textured paint

#3 shows the results. I used about a 1/4 gal of white semi gloss paint

(its what I had) I mixed this with about 12 dixie cups of fine pool filter sand

photo #4 shows the impatients of nutti... I got the trim peice out for a looksee!

lookin good! ;)

I was going to use textured wallpaper for the ceilings but I really like the paint I have mixed. so I will paint the ceilings the same.

I also have my bookcase in and fireplaces are ready to be installed.

a total of 4 hours spent doing all of these things and almost 3 days spent wondering around lost waiting for Jimmy and Linda to rescue me.
