ToScaleHouser
Thank you all again for the nice greetings! I will try to upload some pictures of my Tennyson this weekend to show the progress.
Wolfie
Glad you are settling in and finding things to your liking here! It's always nice to be among those who share your same passions....... Dollhouses and miniatures! And it's a place where we can let our hair down and really enjoy ourselves without feeling that the "adults" around us are not judging us! I come here to play because most of my "outside the box" friends think I'm insane for "wasting time" making tiny things and playing with my dolls and dollhouses - most of which are not finished or even out of the box! ToScaleHouser
Hello and thank you all again! In reply to Val's question, yes I'm refurbishing an old Tennyson we've had for ages, starting with the exterior first.
havanaholly
Please share pictures of the process. In addition to many mini members being addicted to other peoples' pictures, your pictures actually are an invaluable aid to other builders of this kit! ToScaleHouser
Thanks again for the nice greetings! My Tennyson redo is on hold for now because I'm stuck on some of the details, so no pictures yet. I am working on another house that will be a wizard's dwelling for my husband. I will take some pictures to show soon.
lil buttah
Oh that sound awesome I love fantasy themes, I don't do them much myself but when I see other people's I'm definately in awe!!!
Shy Spirit
I am working on another house that will be a wizard's dwelling for my husband. I will take some pictures to show soon. Please post pics of the wizard's place! Is this for Christmas? Fantasy is my favourite. One of the first mini settings I made was a wizard's room - I would like to do another, now that I have a bit more experience.
ToScaleHouser
I'll attempt to put up a few photos later today. It doesn't look like much yet, three walls, a floor and a spiral staircase. I'm making this as a gift for DH since he's always been supportive of me and my miniature muse and to try to get him more involved with the hobby himself. I also wanted the challenge of creating something that is far away from my comfort zone, which is Victorian. Hope I can accomplish it. Hope I can accomplish it.Of course you'll accompish growth, which is the best result of working outside one's comfort zone. I haave found that even if the results aren't what I wanted or expected, they were quite acceptable for a new direction, and Victorian can segue nicely into Fantasy.
