Tams
How do I go about shingling the roof of the bay window? I've tried and it looks like a two-year-old slapped them up there!! HELP!!
KathieB
Hi, Tams ... as I recall, I marked the row lines as I did for the main part of the roof and glued the first shingle in the center of the middle window rather than starting at one edge or the other. Then it was a matter of trimming with scissors to get the angles. They didn't match precisely, but I'm not worried about leaking when it rains. havanaholly
I cheated and made my shingles out of sandpaper and laid them in a lozenge/ diamond pattern, but I did start in the middle of the edge and work to the sides, too.
blue_moon992
Dang, you guys are more creative than I was. I just started cutting and placing and hoped for the best LOL. Guess it worked and I agree...I'm not worried about when it rains
whippet-gal
Yes, I'm with Kathie, on this one; I can't bear things not to look symetrical, so I started in the middle, with plenty of spare shingles Jackie
