Roni Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 I am building the vintage travel trailor. Does any body have any ideas as to what I could use for the propane tank? I don't have access to insulin bottles or the bottles contact lenses used to come in. I'm at a loss, and I figured somebody in the forum would have an idea. havanaholly Posted June 22, 2007 Share Posted June 22, 2007 Check out the "woodsies" at the craft stores, sometimes you can find larger canning jar shapes that can be painted white or other propane canister colors. The 3-lobed beads make nice knobs for on top, and if you can't find something you like for the gas bottles perhaps you can find something or shape a scrap of wood to look like the cover for them.
