Nonnie Built a Doll House in 1987

Recommended Posts

Hello All. I am new here. My mother built my daughter a Gingerbread Doll house - kit by Really Good Toys (RGT) - back in 1987 January to June to be exact. I swinging front opening porch door has taken much abuse. Unfortunately, RGT does not make custom replacement parts any more. I am wondering if anyone out there would be able to make one for me? Yes, of course I am willing to pay. I have already ordered the porch piece, which I will need to modify to fit the house but I am not able to replicate the front wall of the house. I have the exact specs and instructions from the original kit that I can forward to anyone that might be able to help. Looking forward to any help or suggestions.

thank you so much Furmam. I am going to take the measurements and the piece with me to Orchard Supply. The guys there are  very nice and helpful. I'll figure out how to post some before and after's later.

When you have made five posts (you only need three more) you can make an album in the Gallery and either and copy paste those images into your posts, or else refer people there.

We ended up going to the home depot with our measurements and found the correct size wood AND a lovely employee who cut it to our exact specifications. I am now in the process of removing the old wall paper which has some mold.

Love HD! They are usually quite helpful in all departments.
