I’m new to this swap thing. How does it work?

Once you know the theme (in this case, a summer swap in 1:12 scale), decide on an item that goes with that theme (picnic spread, July 4 decorations, camping gear...) and when the sign-up closes you'll be notified how many of your item you will need to make and a deadline date to have them finished and ready to mail to the hub person (Linda Cullen for this one), along with the hub's snail mail address, by internal/ personal message (the envelope icon in the upper right corner of the page, to the left of your username, will have a number next to it to let you know when the message is in your mailbox).  Hopefully the hub will let you know about sending the postage necessary to mail everything out to all the participants.  There is a Gallery for the earlier swaps we've done here to give you an idea.
