A Greenleaf Forum Friend - Linda Larsen

Recommended Posts

Since I know some of you are not on facebook, It’s with Great sadness that I post this on the forum today. I just found out last night that we lost  a long time Greenleaf friend, Linda Larsen, Greenleaf username - pin1056 .

I’m still in shock because all of us, outside of her family, didn't know she battling an illness until her children (her “lovelies”) posted on facebook 😭. She adored each of them very much and was excited to welcome her granddaughter 1.5 years ago. She was still “liking” and “posting” comments on Facebook until last week. Here is the link to view the gallery of some of her many mini creations . She absolutely loved Greenleaf dollhouses and Blyth dolls! She downsized her dollhouse collection a few years back and revamped her Beacon Hill because she couldn’t part with it.

She was very kind and so helpful when ever someone needed help with their dollhouses. She was humble and didn't like a lot of attention. I know many of us are going to miss her sunny disposition and her spunk. 💗

I am relatively new to the forum so I wasn't familiar with Linda's work. But I am Now!! and I see she will be inspiring GENerations to come!!  Isn't it just so DEAR that this is all part of her Legacy. And here are these extremely Beautiful words spoken in describing Linda. What More can we Hope for when we are gone from this life.  For those who Grieve--Love really Does Never End!!!

Now I have to Ask!?? Can anyone tell me how they think she did that rough finish on the updated Beacon Hill?? :-)))))))))))))))))

I believe she painted it white and then used spackle mixed with more white paint on the outsides of the house 🙂

Oh wow, what awful news! Linda was such a lovely person and great miniaturist. She was an enthusiastic customer of mine and I’d had the pleasure to meet her on a couple of occasions. I didn’t know she was sick either. How sad. She was very close to her family and I know she will be greatly missed. Thanks for posting this Tracy.

It seems she didn't tell anyone outside of her family and those super close to her. I adored her little cottages she made from your kits! Especially her squirrel cottage 💗💕 Sending you (((Hugs)))

I loved her work and I've missed her posts; thank you, my best girl Tracy, for sharing this sad news with us.  Linda will be missed.

(((Hugs))) Holly 💗💕 I know several of you all here don't have Facebook and would want to know. She posted most of her newer stuff on Facebook. Her family said they are going to delete her stuff there in the next few days. It feels good knowing that her stuff will still be here.

Thanks Tracey. She had a great imagination and sense of fun and I know she enjoyed putting things together (and sometimes pulling them apart!).

Ive been bawling for days. I just can’t believe her sunny spirit left us, along with the mini worlds she created and loved. A true kindred spirit and will be truly missed. I was also glad that we have her work here since her family is deleting her page per her request. She is legendary for the back to back Beacon Hills and was also a contest winner here at Greenleaf, back in the day. She loved Alice in Wonderland and I’m going to make a scene in her honor. Her miniature business she called La Dee Dah miniatures on fb and I’m thinking it’s possible the family may forget to delete that one or leave it up. I went through her photos yesterday and said goodbye with many tears. ❤️This is one of her (several) Alice scenes. Karin
