EPKiernan
Hi, I'm working on a Westville and trying to figure out how to wallpaper or paint the staircase wall. I'm trying to do a green/nature themed room and am trying to figure out if I should use the same wallpaper I am using on the back wall on the front or keep it white. I don't know, it's a big space to leave plain I think. Any suggestions or pics of how you handled it in the Westville or a similar build are appreciated. Thanks! Khadi
The Garfield has a similar staircase wall. I painted the it white to go with the staircase but then used chair rail to to make rectangular looking panels.
havanaholly
I made that room the kitchen and painted the staircase white to go with the kitchen's color scheme. I also made a utility closet under the stairs: I also made a wall between the stairs and the bathroom.
shannonc60
You could give the wall texture, as Karen said using panels, or you could use a tongue and groove/v-groove type finish or shiplap. It depends on whether this will be a more elegant or a relaxed room. Or another idea is a contrasting wallpaper - something simple like soft srtipes or a gingham.
