First set of hardwoods done!

Love how these turned out! I went with the wide craft sticks and used the chop saw I got for my birthday to take off the ends.

That was the best gift! I can't believe how quickly I was able to whip through the cuts! I'm working on the Mediterranean tile in the back of the room now.

Great job!  What did you use on them to age them so well?

Thank you! I used a couple of wood carving tools to gouge them up and add scratch marks. Then my wood burning tool to add the darker textures and nail holes. The stain is first, Early American and then Classic gray quickly wiped back on top. The green line was a happy accident. I was looking for something to add some small holes and the green paint brush scuffed. I really like the added little detail with it.

So do I!  You nailed the look (and I meant that pun on purpose).

LOL, good pun!

Well done!  I think the wider sticks look better in a darker stain.

Thank you! I do like them with this darker color. It brings out the wear and tear.
