Tape Wiring Trouble

Michael L

Recommended Posts

So I’ve built my first dollhouse and I’m starting to wire it. I’ve got the transformer attached and the first strip of tape wiring works fine. But as soon as I try to attach a second strip with eyelets, the second strip doesn’t get power? Is there a common problem I’m missing? Copper is matched with copper and blue with blue, eyelets in the center of where each strip intersects. Help!

Is there room at the connection to add more eyelets? If so, add some more. The copper  must not be getting enough contact.

Tip: I avoid making connections by mitering the tape...fold it back on itself. I also run my tape up to the next floor by cutting a slit and feeding the tape through.
