Beacon Hill dollhouse assembly

Welcome to the little family, Danielle.  I use a good carpenter's wood glue like Titebond to glue wood to wood and Elmer's all-purpose white glue to glue clear plastic parts.  I don't glue anything until I have dry fit everything at least once using masking or painters' tape.

It isn't necessary to make more than one introductory post, and there is a subforum better suited for questions concerning the Beacon Hill.

Welcome, Danielle! Don't worry about the multiple posts, I deleted them. I think something wonky is going on that's causing people to think their post didn't work, so they're trying again. The same thing happened to me earlier this week.

There's a forum upgrade waiting to applied so I've emailed Greenleaf's owner Dean to see if we can do that and maybe it'll fix the problem. (I'm also going to merge this topic into the other assembly topic to keep all your Beacon Hill questions on the same thread.)

I'm going to move this thread into the Greenleaf questions forum where more people will see it. Can you tell us what you've tried that isn't working?

For the foundation of a house like the Beacon Hill, I often add little blocks of wood to the inside corners of the foundation to provide more of a surface to glue to. That way you're gluing both foundation pieces to the wooden block rather than trying to glue one skinny edge to another skinny edge. Maybe that will help?

Emily, I had an issue when I'd read Danielle's other headers and went back to edit my post, and I got a "too late to edit" message; but when I'd refreshed the page, there was my nice edited post.  Will the upgrade fix that?
