Moushumi
Hello: Just hit a roadblock. I can't figure out how to do this step - I'm sending pictures after wrestling with this for the whole day. I'm trying to fit the backwall with the floors and centrewall. Can't get the first and second floors to sit flush on the backwall. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Much appreciated.
Minis On The Edge
Is it upside down? It kinda looks like it is.

Moushumi
Hi Tracy: thanks for straightening the picture. Yes, I understand that the centre wall should be flush with the back wall. But how do I do that? Sorry if I'm not making myself clear. The centre wall will only go up to a point. There is a gap between the centre wall and the backwall. How do I fix that? Minis On The Edge
No problem. But, is that wall upside down? The red parts I marked in your picture are the tabs and slots I think goes together
Moushumi
Even if I turn the centre wall the other way, I am still unable to push it right up to the back wall. The floors are not aligning because the long slots only go up to a point.
fov
I don't think it's upside down. The slots at the back of the top wall are where the hallway wall leading to the false stairs will go. You should be able to keep pushing that wall piece until it's flush. The long slots on the vertical wall need to slide over the solid portion of the floor, so that the long slots on the floor end up under the door hole at the top, and under the solid wall at the bottom. Try setting the house on its back and gently bang on the wall piece to push it in further. You could even use a mallet or a hammer. (But gently!) Moushumi
Ok I will try that, thanks so much Emily. Will let you know how it goes. I'm so afraid of breaking something...
Minis On The Edge
I was trying to figure out why yours looked different than mine. I forgot, I changed the wall to the kitchen so that my client could decorate it the way she wanted it. I agree with Emily! It think you just need to add a little more force to get the wall in place. You can see my blog post about the change I made to it here. http://minisontheedge.blogspot.com/2011/06/mckinley-dollhouse-construction-blog.html

fov
Yay! I had a similar problem with the Westville. It seemed like it just wouldn't go and then suddenly it popped into place. Those floors and walls are a snug fit, but they have to be for the house to be stable. Tracy, I also moved the kitchen door to the other side (both on the McKinley and the Victorianna). It makes decorating much easier in both of those rooms.
