WVGrammy
Hello from West Virginia! I am new to the miniature world and am loving it already! My husband and I have been blessed with 11 grandchildren who are 6 years of age and younger (5 grandchildren born in one year!). We moved from the DC area to a log home in West Virginia and thought it would be great fun to build a miniature look-alike as a dollhouse for our grandchildren. And boy is it time-consuming work!! Having never done this before, I am being very careful (hence the time-consuming part) and will appreciate any suggestions/tips from all of you pros out there! Stay well-Beth
jdodyd
From my experience with building 7 dollhouses, the Shenendoah was by far (by an order of magnitude) the most difficult. The RGT and Greenleaf kits are a breeze by com;parison. I got stuck for a year or so on the stairs and had to have a lot of help with the roof. Good luck. Island-Shack
Welcome! Congrats on all the grandchildren, how fun!! I have a Pioneer (which is a smaller version) and in all honesty it's still in the box because I'm afraid of it. I'm used to wood, not logs LOL. I have the whole thing planned out in my head though! I kinda wish I would have sought out a finished one, but it'll be a learning experience. The most common recommendation I've received is to invest in a good saw, so I'll pass that on. Good luck!
