Mama Mia Minis Posted September 17, 2020 Share Posted September 17, 2020 Hi everyone! I've come across these forums a number of times looking for information or inspiration on Google. I finally got up the nerve to join and say hello. I've been building miniatures for a little over a year. It started when my youngest daughter asked for a dollhouse. I never had one as a child but always wanted one so my search began. At the time, I really couldn't afford anything and I hadn't realized how expensive new kits could run. She was only 5 and I also knew, she'd be like a bull in a china shop. I used a storage shelf that we already had and started converting the cubbies into rooms. I did six rooms in all with upcycled materials and supplies that I already had. From then on, I was hooked. I now build furniture and accessories as a side job and just finished my first dollhouse kit build. I'm looking forward to learning from you all, getting to know you and sharing projects. What house did you build? When I was a kid I used the bottom of a bookshelf for my Barbie house. It was perfect in my eyes. I'm sure your daughter feels the same.
