Tigpuppy
I recently created a miniature version of a rocking chair I have in real life made out of wood scraps and an old tie. I used Aleene's Fabric Fusion to glue the padding and cloth together but it seems to have made the chair's back and seat a bit 'crunchy'. Any recommendations on what to use instead?
KathieB
What a neat piece! Love the design of the rocker, and the upholstery fabric is spot on. And it folds up -- brilliant!

rbytsdy
Love it! As for the "crunchy", I learned from Kris' upholstery tutorials to wrap around the back and glue there.
havanaholly
That is so adorable! I have a 1:1 antique carpet rocker that the fabric is somewhat crunchy, but we sit in it anyway; I bet your mini people won't care.

I was trying to only glue on the back but it kept sliding and the pattern was off center then - which is why I used the fabric glue on the front. I will check out Kris' tutorial to see if there's a better way to keep it from sliding. Or maybe it's just a matter of practice makes perfect? havanaholly
When I glue mini upholstery I lay the piece on a bit of waxed paper, lay a small piece of scrap wood or chip board on top and clamp it with small clamps until dry.
