Medieval
Evening! I washed my dusty, musty Pierce with a damp cloth rinsed in a bleach solution and have pieces of lump charcoal soaking up unwanted odors. As soon as it dries or next weekend I'm going to melt the hot glue and take it apart. My question is: should I trace where everything is now before I dismantle or should I dismantle and do a dry fit and mark where walls, etc go once hot glue is gone. Will there be a huge difference? Previous owner used quite a bit.
Sable
I’d mark them now. Use a code system at each joint like A to A, B to B.....
Medieval
Excellent. Never would have thought about coding! Thanks!
havanaholly
You can always check your marks when you dry fit after removing all that hot glue. I also use the dry fit to adjust any tabs and/ or lots that might have swollen or otherwise gotten "off" because the original builder didn't bother to check. Also, if the glue oozed or dribbled out of the joins it might throw your trace lines off.
