May 1/12 scene ideas

good morning everyone! 

recently my club has asked members to pick a month from the calendar and create a mini room box (unsure of dimensions yet).  from the months that were remaining I choose May.  I would like to create an outdoor scene, perhaps farm related and was wondering if anyone had tried creating realistic pastures with using teddy bear fur for grass? or something else perhaps?

or perhaps you have another idea for which direction I could take this scene in?

When I landscaped my farmhouse I went by what the farmyards around houses I'd seen looked like, then went berserk with paint and artificial flowers & greenery.

I vote for Memorial Day barbecue.  That could be fun to make!

If you can get your paws on a plastic egg and fruit basket and some green paint you're all set for the grill, and there are all sorts of tutorials for making picnic tables from craft sticks.
