Sable, what a wonderful thing to do!! An hour to assemble? That's fantastic! No issues with holes not lining up or things being crooked? What is the finish on it? Could it withstand being wiped down with germicidal wipes? Thinking of getting one for my hospital playroom.

One gable was a little off but it was the angle that I put the screw in. I removed it and moved my body around so the This right handed person could properly put in a left sided screw and it fixed the problem.

it says in the instructions to not use alcohol or ammonia  based products to clean it cause it will dull the shiny surfaces. They recommend soapy water.  I want to guess that it is a satin paint finish. It is 3/8” plywood. Recommended for 3 years and up. It should be raised up on a table. If left on a floor I’d be afraid of a child falling on the open roofline.

You can contact The Child Life Specialist at any hospital and he/she should be able to tell you what the clean the toys with.

Thanks Sable, I think that might just solve my problem, if it is only screwed together my SIL would do that with his electric screw thing...saved

I think they want you to do it by hand. There are sections that you screw in partially until the next part is attached. Then you tighten. The electric screw thing might be overkill.

I’m delivering mine on Wednesday. I think it will look great under their tree.

Thanks Sable I will tell him that, good to know. It will get done in time whoever does it, I just didn't want the job myself  as I am not very good with a screwdriver, my arms just can't take it . I am so glad you bought one, I would have been in a real pickle if you hadn't posted about it.

Put together the house yesterday, and it really did take about an hour. No issues, other than one sliver that needed to be shaved off to make the roof come together. What a great house!! Really really sturdy, and cute as can be. Target also has an assembly video on their site, as well as the detailed instructions that come in the kit.

My tips- a ratcheting screwdriver would be helpful, and a smaller, as well as a shorter screwdriver for the roof and porch pieces. Lay it all  out and do the assembly on a blanket, so nothing gets scratched. Keep all of the screws fairly loose until you get the top level on, then go back and retighten the whole house. I don't think it would be worth the trouble to try and convert this to a 1:12 house, but if you have some larger scale furniture or dolls or something, it's perfect.

I was going to donate this to our playroom, but there's really no room for it, so I'm looking for another home for it. Will be making some calls on Tuesday.

Tough crowd. IMO anyone who can attract a younger generation into dollhouses is a hero.  So much better than those plastic houses at toy stores. The price point is great. No prep work needed. Assembly in a few hours, not days. I think it’s a really great house.

Good response. I bought this house for my grandchildren and look forward to decorating it with them. Joanne Gaines inspires me and the woman in this article who enjoyed the "fixer-upper" dollhouse: http://www2.philly.com/philly/columnists/jenice_armstrong/dr-kwandaa-roberts-dollhouse-hgtv-chip-joanna-gaines-jenice-armstrong-20180417.html

I agree with Sable.  If attracts new kids to minis im for it.  Most little kids don't want intricate and fancy.  Looks sturdy to me.  I would have to see it, to see the quality.  Screw holes are so easy to hide, so that would not deter me.  Post pics Sable of it please.

A talented lady decorated this dollhouse beautifully in the Joanna Gaines style!!! I was blown away! http://www2.philly.com/philly/columnists/jenice_armstrong/dr-kwandaa-roberts-dollhouse-hgtv-chip-joanna-gaines-jenice-armstrong-20180417.html

The previous house must have been a good seller because they have a new model out. Already on eBay too? https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Toy-Doll-Farmhouse-Hearth-and-Hand-with-Magnolia-Dollhouse-LIMITED-EDITION/264120263005?hash=item3d7ecb615d:g:fZUAAOSwyPFcKAS-
