And as long as I was going through my catalogs, I believe this one is called the Mt. Vernon Colonial by The Doll House, Inc.

I would love to see the plans for this second house. In one of my catalogs, there's a picture of a dollhouse called the Antebellum Plantation by Guild Woodcrafters of Virginia. The house is 29"H x 59"L x 23"D. The difference in height might be because of the chimneys. The picture in my book also has a third floor like the first house, but that could have been left off of this house.

I actually have one of the Mt Vernon houses.  It is huge but beautiful. While trying to ID it, I found a few unique features of the builder. I believe his name was Jerry Jerrell and he lived close to Atlanta. So I see these and other versions of his pop up locally from time to time.

Kelly, I have a price list of his houses that Nancy Horn at HBS copied for me. And I have the catalog page from at least my house, maybe one other model. Sounds like you have some kind of info already, but if you'd like me to send that to you to add to your collection, I'd be happy to!  Just PM me.

Thank you, Sparkle, but I think I have all that info in my catalogs. I appreciate the offer, though!

If anyone here wants a milled, wood RGT Simplicity dollhouse for only $20, here you go - this is one heck of a good deal, depending on what your shipping would be:

For anyone in the Santa Rosa area (SF Bay Area) this seems like a really good deal. It looks like a RGTs dollhouse turntable originally priced at $185 selling for $30:

Somebody a while back - OK, a long while back - was looking for info on that table and I remembered seeing a pic of it, but I couldn't find the picture again. Thank you for posting that and for knowing it by RGT.

And another one! https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/bab/d/handmade-dollhouse-with/6248138210.html

Crazy how often that style shows up in the Boston area. I wish I knew more about the origins. One post a while ago had info about the builder and I thought I saved it, but now I can't find it on my computer. :(

Yet another! This one's even located in the town where I grew up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Story-Wood-Doll-House-Unfinished-Unpainted-USED-/222611017120?hash=item33d4a68da0:g:XOEAAOSwkr5ZjvRT

I've done lots of SDK kits.  I don't think I've done any of those specifically, but I have done many of her kits (both furniture and plants), and have always been pleased.  The eBay lot looks like a good deal.

Yes, I was pleased.I have never used these kits before but am waiting for a Fairfield to be delivered so I think some of them will be just fine for that. The seller had 2 other lots of 3 each so I got those too. I love this topic ,I look  every day but nothing ever seems to come so far north for me unless it is ebay.

You're welcome, Kelly! It seems like a steal to me. It would be nice if someone on this forum got it. I would go up there myself but it's a 2 hour drive and that's just a bit too far for me. Ah, well.

Re the Newport from 27th July. Kelly I waited quite a while to give you the first chance and figured by now you would have done it. When I looked again today I was surprised it was still there so figured you must have decided against it so I did it  . I just got the Newport as posted above  $175 and free shipping, thank you Samantha for alerting me and thank you Kelly for passing it by.

du you get any of the British houses over there offered yo you

No not really, but the dollhouse shops over here sometimes stock them. Strangely shipping from the UK to Australia is cheaper than from the USA. :)

I'm not a massive fan of front opening though... I prefer the architecture to remain intact. However there are some good points to front opening or enclosed houses. ie: dust minimization. :)
