I edited my post to be clearer, thanks. If you've never built a House that Jack Built you will be amazed at the quality of these kits. They use cabinet grade plywood. All of the components fit beautifully together. I wish they were still in business.

The reason I asked was because I am an acquaintance of Robin and she had told me about an accident that had happened to this house. It had to be shipped back to her for repairs. I didn't know if it had been resold. Thanks for the clarification.
1martinimomma
I am so excited to get this house. It's already put together so all that is left for me to do is decorate it. If you look at the pictures of the house I bought on Craigslist, it hardly looks like the same house. Here is the quote from the lady that sold it. Made me laugh. " I am happy it is going to a great home since I was a slacker mom and never finished it for my daughter."
Guest
Pretty cheap Newberg kit, with a couple of broken pieces.. doesn't look too drastic though. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VINTAGE-DURA-CRAFT-NEWBERG-NB180-MANSIONS-IN-MINIATURE-WOODEN-DOLLHOUSE-KIT-/112311519957?hash=item1a2649cad5:g:MBQAAOSw5cNYh4ew

rodentraiser
I live in the wrong state! That is definitely thirty years old - that's all Millie August wallpaper in there except for the Mini-Graphics Roosevelt Rose in the living room. I haven't seen some of that paper in decades. Until I saw what the price on it was. Yes, this is a Lawbre staircase, one with their fancy balusters and newel posts. I was thinking a bid of $50 would get it. rodentraiser
So tonight I was Craigslisting in California and Phoenix (don't ask). Every now and then Phoenix has some nice dollhouses and here are some good deals: https://prescott.craigslist.org/art/6019328351.html https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/art/5992165383.html As these are kits, maybe the sellers will ship. In Portland (or rather, WIlsonville), a Walmer San Franciscan: https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/tag/6024406303.html

Debsrand56
So, this isn't actually a dollhouse for sale. It's actually a gig for San Francisco Bay Area dollhouse owners for a photo shoot. Hope it's OK to post here: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/crg/6028220824.html It was intriguing.

SewMini
San Franciscan Dollhouse available on Craigslist near me Now that Im working on my dollhouse DD is wanting one of her own (again). She LOVES the movie Coraline and has dreams of makig a replica Pink Palace house. I came across this ad on Craigslist for a San Franciscan. The seller says the kit is still in the box. For $35 im wondering if it's too good to be true. Thoughts?

I'd check the contents against the schematic sheets before buying it to be sure they are all there. I got burned once on a good deal on a Glencroft Ebay -- the pieces they were selling were in the original box, all right, but the "pieces" were the sheets after all of the pieces were punched out. Buyer beware.

Like Kathie, I would most certainly open that box and check the part with the schematics (in the front of the instructions booklet) to make sure all the pieces are there & intact, also that the instruction booklet is also there, and the Majik Systems powder and template tape for the foundation's brickwork. Elsbeth
if it looks like it is all there, $35 is a nice deal. The seller probably just wants to clear it out of their basement. And even if a few pieces are missing, hello its $35!!
SewMini
The seller is being kind of odd. I texted to ask if he still had the kit. He said he does and to call if interested. I called and left a message. He called back but no one was on the other end. I tried calling back but again no answer. Im hoping I didnt just give my number to jack the Ripper. All i want is a dollhouse kit!

SewMini
Well he finally did reach out to me and left a message and then we were able to talk on the phone. He sounded to be my dad's age and I think he's just not super tech savvy which is why he preferred speaking on the phone rather than texting and emailing. He said the kit was purchased by his dad for his daughter years ago and he passed away before he ever had the chance to build it. He never had an interest in building it as it's a big job. It sounds like the box was opened at some point but that it's been tied up for years and is quite heavy so I think there's a good chance it's got all the main parts at the very least. I mean, for $35 I think it sounds like a steal even if it's missing a few small parts. It will definitely be a commitment for DD though. She wants to be the one to build it but I think she'll enjoy it. And if she doesn't well gosssssh darn I guess I'll just have to build it ;)
