The brown 1964 hotpoint refrigerator in my storage unit was called "copper".  Its not really copper, but that is the hotpoint color.  Oh, and it actually works.  No energy star rating on that beast.

I still have a 1970s "Coppertone" stove...works great. It is more like burnt sienna or dark orangey-coffee than copper. I love/hate it. It works, but man that color so deserves shag carpet and dark cabinets and some contrasting avocado appliances.

Turns out I love 1970s in miniature, but hate it in 1:1 scale.

This thread made me think of the Reallife Kitchen kit box. I bashed one for my barn kitchen and have another in the stash to do someday. The photo is a perfect visual for the 70's kitchen!

I always loved that kit. As a kid I just wanted it so much. I can see doing it up in avocado for a 70s kitchen.

I think I have that set, only I refuse to do it in that ghastly avocado green!; thinking more in terms of traditional white...

I am the only one who hears the siren song of avocado and burnt orange??

I swear I will stop making this thread about my love for 1970s miniature kitchens and just say - that I have, like, two sets of the fantastic lundby 70s kitchen:

I also have the lundby avocado bathroom. Oh yes.

Ok, now I'm done. Thanks to all who indulged me.

I haven't seen any harvest gold on the market kitchen appliances but, I can find something and paint it :) I found some pretty cool wallpaper from that era though, and it could be really fun with harvest gold, and maybe a nice kitchen rooster.

OOOOooooo I LOVE it!!

I endured the '70s "styles", and don't care to reproduce them in mini.  Kudos to those of you who do nd do so successfully.  I love how we are able to reproduce whatever period we prefer.

Start looking at fabric remnants for the perfect shag carpet.

Terrycloth washcloth? Especially the smaller tufted fabric for babies. Could be colored with watered down acrylic craft paint.
