Our club, Lorain County Miniatures is growing by leaps and bounds! We have over 40 members, although they don't all attend every time. We meet the

3rd Saturday each month, at 2:00 pm, March through November. It's held at Dolls and Minis, 8068 Columbia Road, Grand Pacific Junction, Olmsted Falls, Ohio. The store is in a restored historic village, and there are many shops and eateries of all kinds.

We also have play dates the 1st Saturday of the month, any time of the day as long as the store is open!. We just bring whatever we're working on. Usually there is much more talking and giggling than actual work, but it's ok. You can see us featured in the August 2013 Miniature Collector's Club Fanfare.

We are starting a Kid's club, ages 8 to 14 this weekend, April 12th. We don't know how many will join, but however many do will be introduced to dollhouse miniatures by us.

So, if anyone is in Northeast Ohio, please come check us out. We have all levels of skills and abilities, and have tons of fun with our make and takes.

Has anyone heard of something called 'meetups'? You can google it. You can create your own club for whatever you want and post it and people can join. There are groups for people who like to go to the movies, knit, singles groups, whatever.

So if anyone wanted a miniature group, you could go there and register or go and look to see if someone near you has registered for a mini group.

There is not a local Miniatures Club here in Louisiana, but I just joined the local Doll Club and a lot of the members also have dollhouses and all kinds of miniatures in addition to their doll collections.

Remember that you can start your own club. Find a place that will let you use it once a month. Hopefully for FREE. then find a day that works for you and what you think will work for others. Then advertise. You can buy one those disposal phones at wal mart and use that number for people to call you on it. then have two or three months projects ready.

Our club we make projects that people can make in couple hours. so something small.. If you need ideas you can message me or ask here on the forum.

Miniature Magazines have great tutorials too. and of course our friend "Google"

OR you can just advertise and see how many people in your area are interested before you go to the trouble getting a place and setting times.

I would love to have a miniature group here in Grand Junction Colorado but i can't seem to find anything even close.

All the N.A.M.E. Chapters are closer to Denver and Colorado Springs.
