CheckMouse
Someone shared a link to a beautiful French Mansion, which has remained untouched for 110 years. When I am doing a miniature project on a certain era, I search the Internet for pictures and information, but much of it is "hearsay" - and one wonders if it's actually the way things were. This mansion was sealed up by the owner, who decided to make it a time capsule for 100 years after his death. For miniaturists who are looking for authenticity of the era - it's a gold mine! Lots of pictures! French Mansion
KathieB
CJ, what a treat to peek into the past this way. I noticed the shots in the video are the same as the still photos, but much less blurry. It's worth the time to view the video. Thank you for sharing.

Soapz
If you google Maison Mantin you can pull up several videos. Really neat to look at.
Elsbeth
I love this - I love time capsules!!! But I'll be honest...I kinda wanted to see more photos of the insect and mold covered interior! hee heeee! They did a nice job restoring. I found a few via google: Before: After: And here is a nice miniature version of the house: http://jeanmarcetienne.parti-socialiste.fr/files/2011/02/S7306275.jpg
havanaholly
If the house sat empty and unopened for 100 years it's amazing there was anything left to restore!
