me-barbie
My cousin is down in Houston right now at a convention. Part of the building had to be closed due to flooding, and she can't fly out tomorrow as planned. She is otherwise safe. You all stay safe now!!!!! stickyfingers
I'm fine, but annoyed. We've had at least 10 inches of rain since Thursday, and it's still raining. No flooding at my house, but a few areas of standing water. We had about 16" of rain over about six weeks in the spring. One inch for the entire summer, so things were dangerously dry, and now this. We had planted a few trees and added some landscaping over the past year or two and now most of it is dead.
Gayle
I had an email from Colleen (1martinimama) and she's fine. She's visiting relatives elsewhere. It's either feast or famine where weather is concerned. Most of the summer, we had drought conditions in SC, that is until the hurricane dumped so much water on us. Must work the same for the rest of the country. Hope everyone is safe.
havanaholly
We have had no rain for over a month, which is MOST unusual for the Gulf Coast, but the remnants of Patricia behind the front presently moving through TX is forecast to change all that. Luanne
I am in Fort Worth. We have 6 inches of rain. All is well.My dog who loves being outdoor has been feeling cabin fever. Today we did catch a break and he gets to chill outside under a tree, his favorite activity. He is covered in lots of dirt so my hubby calls him Muddy Buddy.
