nantucketbreezes
Hi folks! Hope this Monday finds you well. I have a kind of ambitious project rolling around in my head, but one element of it is a one story living area on the bottom floor under a much larger structure, so I am in need of a fairly big one story house. Since I haven't found a kit that meets this need, I was wondering if I could take a simple 2 story kit and put it together as one story. All thoughts, tips and advice are welcome! Thanks in advance! Dalesq
Why not? I took the three story Tennyson and turned it into to separate two story houses: #1 Tennyson Place and #2 Tennyson Place. http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&album=6859 http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&album=7033

KathieB
I'm convinced that in mini-land, if you can think it, you can build it.

havanaholly
If you're doing that sort of bashing you'll want some extra plywood to make new roof pieces, floor splices, and so forth..
nantucketbreezes
Kathie, I agree! Lawanda, I love your build in progress! Looking forward to seeing more. Cheverly
Karin (WyckedWood) has done several wonderful cottages that started as two-story kits modified to just one level. http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&album=4221 Or, one level with a loft: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=gallery&album=4481 Looking forward to seeing yours!
