Do you like this butterfly bed?

I am slowly working on furnishing the Westville.

This is the bed that I made following One Inch Minis 's tutorial. It's my first shot at bed mattress making.

The bed is lacking a comforter and the dresser is missing handles.

The orange color was suggested as an accent for this room when I thought a blue checkered room cannot be made feminine. I love how the room is turning out so far.

What do you think?

The pictures are at the end of the set.

Bed tutorial is here if you are interested.

The slideshow took a little time to load. I like the acorn planter. When I saw the title of the thread I first though of the Williamson Walton-Marble Butterfly bed featured in an old issue of Miniature Collector: http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/VintageGlassGarden/4906441/miniature_collector_magazine_butterfly_bed_back_issue_jan__feb_1999/supplies/instructional

Thanks for stopping by and the compliments.

Holly- that is one fancy bed! Sorry mine is nothing like it.

Vicki- My hubby gave me the tree. He bought it from Walmart a few years ago from the Christmas section.

Luanne, yours is lovely in a much nicer way, because it suits the Coventry Cottage (outstanding job, BTW).

Beautiful job! If you hadn't said that it was your first attempt at making a mattress I wouldn't have guessed it! The floor is gorgeous. And I really, really like the wallpaper! I actually have some fabric that is almost exactly like it. I think you should be very proud of your work.

Thanks.

Kris is so kind to post the tutorials with lots of pictures. I like it a lot, the pictures help me figure things out easier! I like the flower ones, too. I hope you'd find as helpful as I did.
