He's going to have to not exert himself for a while but hopefully (even tho he's had to only recently give up full-size woodworking) he'll be well enough to enjoy building the new Dura Craft Newport kit "Santa" has for him for Christmas. I wouldn't hold your breath on that one quite yet, lol There's a reason he did full-sized wookworking (as do I) and I do the miniature. This is more of a 'give him something to focus on other than what he's lost' project. It's one of the many benefits of a miniature hobby, I know it helps me forget my troubles and certainly reduces stress. Thank you all for you kind thoughts!
