ChristineR
Hi, I received it yesterday and have the shell put together. Was a bit hard getting the front and side walls on. Had to sand a lot. Now starting the base.
jenspec
Awesome. Good Luck. I loved making my Lily. It was both fun and frustrating at times.
havanaholly
This is why I invest in lots of masking tape and before I put the first drop of glue on anything I fit the shell together and hold things in place with the masking tape while I sand or whittle tabs & slots & edges for a better fit. This is what we call the "dry fit" and in addition to figuring out how the house goes together it gives the builder the opportunity to listen to the kit tell us what it wants.

This is what I did, but now I am having trouble finding the base. ha ha age need better glasses to find it on the layout

mybrainhurts
Are you looking to use paperclay, paper mache, or something like spackle which can be tinted like stone? I've not used paperclay, myself but quite a few people around here have.

mybrainhurts
Perhaps this link would help. it's for a fireplace but I would think that the process would be similar http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=866 Also, try searching for paperclay here. There are tons of mentions. Maybe one of them would help.
ChristineR
Thank you, I have been searching and first I'll try on a scrap piece of wood and then practice the look.
