chapchap73
I was just surfing and found a reference on a woodowrking site to sizing MDF. (I'm thinking of using it to make some bookcases.) The site recommended painting the MDF with a 1:1 mixture of water and white PVA glue, letting it dry and then proceeding to sand and paint however you wanted. They said this kept the fibers from "popping" up. Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking of giving it a go on some MDF scraps I have to see how it works. firef2005
Interesting...........please let me know how it comes out, I've got MDF pretty much conquered I think, but so much sanding, and so many coats of paint make it very tedious to get looking right. Puffycat1
I'm anxious to hear how this works, as I have 2 MDF kits in waiting. I'm tempted to try this on a scrap piece of MDF.
