I can't delete this duplicate topic so I will ask: do you prefer spackle or wood filler? If you use both, how do you choose?

I way prefer spackle. Wood filler and I do not get along. Of course, I've only used the stuff in the tube. It is hard for me to get out and control. And it is very clumpy to me, and hard to smooth out.

Now Holly makes her own wood filler, out of sawdust and glue and stain. I think I would be much happier with that, if spackle would not be an acceptable filler for a particular situation.

I love love love the lightweight dak sparkle. it goes on smooth and barely needs sanding
