downfaw
I have built a couple of other dollhouses with little trouble, but this kit is a nightmare! I bought it at a sale and it seems to all be there. The wood splinters easily and the instructions are not very good. ANYWAY....I put the siding up and the inside walls are a mess. I tried to wood putty them, then I put 2 sheets of wallpaper on them. It didn't work. I tried cutting thin sheets of wood to cover entire wall and it kept warping. What do I do? Spackle the whole wall? Please help. I have limited time and even less money. I will never....ever....ever....put together another dura-craft again. Thanks. havanaholly
Sorry I missed your intro in the Newcomers' Forum; I replied to your post in the General Forum. As I said there, I built the DC Cambridge long before this forum. Next time I build an all-wood DC kit (I have a Newberg NIB) I will definitely finish the interior walls with a coat of spackling compound or drywall mud.
