Anna
Holly, I love the Georigian as well and made it in the blue/beige shades. Still need to "finish" as in adding backing but it looks great in its room... ;) Hugs
Ravenswing
Well I did it again, allowed a last minute request to make me blow my budget all to heck and back. I have to put everything else aside to get this done before Xmas...I need my head examined but what can you do - it's for Xmas so I gave in. Got my hole saw blades, still have to buy the lumber, but between my stash and the things I bought over the weekend I think I have everything I'll need to furnish the place. Here's what I picked up this weekend:

ajere
Judith, you find the most wonderful things. I wish I could afford to pay you to shop for me!! 's your new project? I can't wait to see what you are going to be doing.
livingvicariously
Thanks Wycked Wood! Good point about the porch and about the size. I don't have a lot of storage space here. Something small might be more doable, especially since there's not a lot of time between now and Christmas.

Roxxie2
Wow Judith! You had FUN!!!!!!!! Love the pottery! I am into collecting Mexican pottery now since I moved to New Mexico. The colors and handwork is incredible. I want to find miniature pottery like it. I built 2/3 of my next quarter scale village yesterday so I might finish it up today. I think I will have an entire village for Christmas at the rate I am going!

I can't wait to see what you are going to be doing. Sweetie I love to shop, I'm on the net all day every day. If you need something just let me know I'd be happy to look for you or keep an eye out during my shopping travels and you don't have to pay me - I feel like a big game hunter stalking her prey - I search, I find, I trap! The new project.....I have to make a Hobbit Hole (hence the extra food items, veggie baskets and crates and the hole saw I had to buy - all the doors and windows are round) Wish me luck on this one it will be my first scratch build. Roxxie2
Thanks Judith! You really did go all out searching! We have a ton of tourist shops here that sell Native American and Mexican pottery of all kinds. I have seen very small pieces but not small enough for dollhouse scale. My favorite second hand shop had a few miniature pieces but they wanted an arm and a leg for them. I was thinking I might try making some with clay and paint them and see how they turn out. I certainly have enough examples to look at!
havanaholly
Roxy, I went berserk with raw sienna and woodsies for my general store: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/index.php?app=blog&module=display§ion=blog&blogid=26&showentry=1111 Enlarge the second picture in the entry to see the bowls in the lower lefthand room. Ravenswing
. I was thinking I might try making some with clay and paint them and see how they turn out. I certainly have enough examples to look at! I found some clay pots that had the right shape but were unpainted but I didn't know if you wanted to try painting or if you only wanted ready made. I'll go back and see if I can find them for you.

ilovecats
Random dollhousing this past couple of weeks! Ran tapewire in the Glencliff, made some wall modifications to the first and 4th floor. I Built the Fairfield. it's already primed and ready for wallpaper but I think I want to do the exterior first. Wow, 1/24th scale is very different from what i'm used to! I like it! I also built the RGT's country church. I put 1 coat of primer and two coats of paint on it....I think it needs another coat. I painted it a red color because I primarily want to use it as a schoolhouse. I have some great old timey schoolhouse items. I will also use it as a church, but mostly as a schoolhouse. I just couldn't paint it plain ole white so I chose red because that is the color I see when I picture ole timey schoolhouses . I also built a rgt's alpine farmhouse kit that one of my coworkers gave me about 5 years ago. I painted the exterior and primed the interior. it's ready for wallpaper. having a hard time deciding what it's going to be. initially I was thinking bakery, but not sure....after I painted it, it stopped speaking to me. So, lots of dollhousing recently and no photos to share!
