A really weird question

I have a really weird question.... I was wondering if anyone knew when 1/2 scale houses became available? I started one in the late 90's I think... I never finished it, and it was given away to a little girl when I moved and didn't have room for it anymore. I want to say it looked like the Fairfield... but I don't recall it having to sides open??? I was just wondering because I am starting to get back into this.... HOWEVER, I am going to call the Laurel my first dollhouse (LOL) because it will be finished... unlike my poor unknown/unnamed 1/2 scale one.... LOL

When I was quite small, 5 or less, I visited the home of an older girl who had a marvelous dollhouse. It even had a tiny toilet with a seat that lifted up, smaller than the 1 piece molded toilet I had in my dollhouse. When I handled 1/2 scale miniatures for the first time a few years ago, I realized that dollhouse toilet with the wonderful real life looking seat had to have been half scale. It was small in my hands even then, when I was 4 or 5.

The Victorianna is the 1:24 version of the 1:12 McKinley and is only open on one side. I really wish greenleaf would bring it back!

AGREED! Too bad we couldn't start a petition for Dean to bring it back. LOL

I did one of the half scale Mc Kinleys way back when they first came out. I gave it away. Now I wish I hadn't. If we get Dean to bring it back, could it please be laser cut? As I remember, that particular house took a LOT of sanding back then.

I would love another one.
