Apricot_Chutney
I am very confused about electrifying. From what i gather it's basically running some electrical tape that comes in two colours, pink and blue - correct? What i don't get is, i take it it goes underneath the wallpaper? If so,then how will i know where the tapes are to tap into the tape for my future lights or fans etc? also, i see little eyelets sometimes on the wallpaper --- so when i get my lights,do i just stick it into the eyelets? Is it that easy? Also this means i need to PLAN my lighting BEFORE i lay down the tape and eyelets, correct?

You don't want any part of the pink half to come into direct contact with any of the blue half. Yes, youplan ahead where you want your lights, and wire accordingly. After you run your wires and before you do any decorating, you take picures of your empty house so you can see where all your taperuns are. IMO round wire is easier to wor with, since most dh baseboards are routed on their backsides to permit the wire to be concealed there. You can conceal tapewire easily and make it totally accessible if you make templates of all your walls and floors and put your treatments on the templates, and attach them with doublesided tape or some other temporary adhesive method. There are a few tutorials here on electrification that you might look into.
judithfa
Holly said it all. A good set of instructions (from a very talented lady), including excellent electrical instructions can be found at http://www.spminiatures.com/tipsandtechniques.html

Amber Alexis's Daddy
I just used cir-kit concepts deluxe wiring kit. it is tapewire as well and this was my first time attempting wiring. I found it to be easy to work with and no where near as hard as i originally thiught it would be. the cir-kit concept kit came with a handy tester with 2 prongs that you can use to test your work as you go and to probe thru the wallpaper later and find your tape runs. of course as the others said, take a bunch of pics of the house empty when the wirings done so you hae something to go by after wallpaper and could help withtroubleshooting in the future. hope things work out for you! Merry
You can buy a book about electrifying at Hobby Lobby. It's with the miniatures. It's small but worth the money! (You could always use your 40% off coupon.) It's written by Cir-Kit Concepts. They are also very, very, very nice if you call and ask them questions.
