shelleA
Hi everyone! I'm Michele and after many months of 'guest' status, I have finally joined the GL community today! (Was feeling like a bit of a 'stalker' ;-) Even though I am a new member, I am familiar with many members work and have looked to it for inspiration. A few of my faves are otterine, Merry, Debora59, minis on the edge, pdlnpeabody, Jo Med and Hallowell. (There are actually many more!). I built the "Heritage" by Duracraft and even though I am pleased with it, in hindsight, I probably wouldn't buy it again. (A Duracraft, that is - and since they are now out of business, I don't feel bad about saying that) Anyway, I hope to post some pictures as soon as I have '5 posts' under my belt. In the meantime I will keep perusing the galleries!
sparklepuppies
Hi Michele! Welcome to the forum!! We are so glad you finally joined! I also lurked for a couple of months before I joined, and when I joined I felt like I already "knew" everybody too. Only 1 more post to go, and you can open your gallery! Look forward to seeing your pictures. So, which house are you building next? Because I'm sure you know by now, you don't build just one.... minikelli
Mini welcomes to you Michele, I'm starting on my first Duracraft house here shortly -- will be the Farmhouse 505. Have to admit after having gone over the instructions a few times they don't seem so clean cut as what I think of the GL directions being. Crossing my fingers I don't end up with any real issues with it. lol As is, going to quit with the post and go peruse your gallery now! Glad you decided to join and can't wait to hear what your next house is going to be... Sorry, just went to look at your gallery but no pictures are showing. Just thought I'd add that you may want to double check your privacy settings and make sure that they are set to let others look if you like. Something I know that I had to do when I first started mine.

havanaholly
Welcome to the little family, Michele. The first two kits I built were the Dura-Craft San Franciscan and the Dura-Craft Cambridge. I still have a Newburg in the box, but have meanwhile accrued a PILE of GL & CC kits to build, in different scales. Feel free to ask any questions. I have a dollhouse from the 70's in my closet but it's huge! Don't really have the room to display it but regardless of which house I build I am definitely going to go modern this time! sparklepuppies
Can't wait to see it. And it's how how you somehow mange to find a spot for more houses... I just looked through your gallery at your Heritage. Amazing!! Everything is so beautifully done, so many details. The colors and wallpaper are all so pretty. Oh, and those stained glass windows... Love it! Great job, especially for your first house!
