uppitycats
Still no word from the doctor......waiting"patiently!" Might be time to call and bug him a bit! Sometimes these things get shuffled around and forgotten.. "I thought I called her?!!"...never hurts to sweetly ask, "Hi, hear anything yet???" Take care...and gentle hugs from here. AuntDee
On another site I belong to there is conversation between several people about making dr appointments and getting care. In the USA the people can't get in to see the specialist until late June or early July. In the UK, with their socialized medicine ,people get to a dr immediately, receive their care and are on the mend. Who is to say we are right with our system. But I degress, Gina I hope you get the care you need very soon. A gentle call to the dr with a " the pain is getting worse, please hurry" might get the ball rolling sooner. Hope you are well soon. Prayers for pain relief and care for you. Rita

Muriel
Yeah, in the UK we can get in to see our general practitioner/family doctor pretty soon. If it is urgent, phone in the morning and you should get an appointment that day. Routine/non-urgent appointments with the doctor of your choice within 10 days i think, or if you're not fussed who you see, same day, or usually within 2 days (and often that is your doc of choice anyway). Referrals to hospital/specialist consultants can take longer though. Then urgent is up to two weeks, non urgent 6-12 weeks depending on what speciality and which hospital. Hope you hear something soon Wolfie!!

Wolfie
Last night Dr. Harvey called me at quarter of 10 - talk about up late! Anyway he told me that yesterday afternoon he and Dr. Roth, the surgeon, has a consultation, and based on my tests and the exams of both doctors, I have to have a CT scan. So Tuesday, June 2nd, at 11:00 I will have my CT sacn.....what fun! Then the results will be discussed in a three-way phone consultation on Wednesday morning, and surgery will be scheduled for the outcome. So that is is folks! News in a nutshell! Am I nervous? Yes, especially when the CT people called me an hour later and told me to go to the post office tomorrow and pick up my new energy drink......some foul taking "juice" that I will have to drink on Tuesday morning right after I wake up, and then a second jolt on the way to town, and then an IV will be administered with more "juice" in it......wonder how this "juice" tastes.....hmmmmm perhaps it's chocokate or some such flavor. Sherry
DH had to do that last month for his CT. He said it wasn't nearly as bad as the junk you have to drink for an upper GI!
