Gina2008
I bought an Orchid Dollhouse. I would like to add some electrical lights buy I do not know which electrical kit will be appropriate for a small house. Does anyone have any suggestions? Audra
Cirkit kit has various sizes available. When I did mine, I first got an idea how many lights I wanted in my house, then go from there. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, you can print off one of their 40% off coupons and buy a transformer there cheaper. I believe they have the Houseworks brand. justmesue
The Orchid is a small house, you could probably put, at the most 8 lights in there. I'm judging by mine, with 2 ceiling lights upstairs and 2 bedroom lamps, as well as 2 lights downstairs and 2 livingroom lamps. Each light bulb in the fixtures count as 1 light. A basic tapewiring kit should be sufficient to light up the whole house, and it contains everything you need. It also has the tools required, that you can keep for doing other houses, and then you would just buy parts seperately for the next builds. I bought 1 kit originally, then just got rolls of tape, later, and bought my transformers seperately. My stuff comes from dejouxminiatures.com
havanaholly
Size your transformer by how many bulbs (NOT fixtures) you want to light.
Gina2008
Thank you to all of you that gave me feedback. I'm sorry it took me so long to reply I was trying to figure out how to find my forum and I found it today. I have a Hobby Lobby and I bought a started kid and I'm working with that... I found out I needed some large eyelets because the lamps I bought are made in China and they have bigger plugs. Thanks again

Wolfie
Years ago Greenleaf sold electrical kits, but because you can't get them anymore, Cir-Kit is now available!
chesterfieldzoo
I just use the lights and wires on them for smaller houses like the orchid and run the wires to the light strip.
