wenlaine
I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner on Monday at my son's home. All the family has been invited and I'm really excited. It's been a few months since I've seen him and his family. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate this weekend.

Shy Spirit
Thanks - and a Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating this weekend! I'll be busy cooking up a storm tomorrow - then off to my parents' on Sunday, and the PIL on Monday. Somehow I must squeeze in some mini-time as well. Otherwise, the withdrawal symptoms could get ugly! B)

pastalinda
I think that out of respect for all of us, we should celebrate Thanksgiving now and in November. Two Thanksgivings a year could not hurt any of us could it? Have a happy and blessed weekend/Thanksgiving.

Anna
So as to sort of tag along with celebrating Thanksgiving we had stuffed turkey filé yesterday and we have left overs for today, yum! Some asparagues, carrots and oven roasted potatoes, yum! Hugs
Shy Spirit
We had our big dinner today - almost all of the family gathered at my parents' home. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, bread sauce, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. Pumpkin pies, chocolate cake, strawberry cake, and walnut loaf. I made a different stuffing to my usual - I didn't like the "new" one, and won't make it again, but the others enjoyed it. Why so many desserts? Because my niece and two SIL each brought some! heidiiiii
I love this time of year. I cannot wait to get a forkful of sausage stuffing in my mouth. I do not care if it is bad for you or fattening. That is the one thing I will never change from my mother`s traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Bread stuffing, celery, onion, garlic, Jimmy Dean sausage, fried turkey livers, seasonings, chicken broth...Mmmm! There is that and the roasted turkey gizzard. justmesue
I actually got that turkey dinner this year, on the Sunday. I worked on the Monday! Hope you all had a great holiday!
