Sherry
I appreciate what emergency services do. I was a volunteer when we lived in a small town, and had to do about 300 hours in Lubbock when I was working on my paramedic certification. There were places we couldn't pick up patients until the police got there to escort us, and what went on in the county hospital ER would scare most people to death. Working a wreck on a dark wet highway was always a fun evening, too. I loved doing it, but DH was secretly glad when we moved to a town that didn't need volunteers! OK-this is just plain weird! This is NOT the thread I posted in, but here it is!
heidiiiii
My bedroom is CLEAN! Yay me! I found out last night that Chris is coming over to visit today. So I have to straighten up the downstairs for him. The dining room looks like an artistic bomb was let off in here. OMG it is bad. Really bad. Fred is home today so I will get some help. I also want to put more of a dent in the laundry. I did some yesterday but I have much more to do today. I want to clean every single stitch in this house so that it be categorized. Keep, toss, or donate. If they hesitate and it is in good condition, it goes in the Salvation Army box!
Sherry
Up early again, and trying to get ready to go to the hospital. He comes home tomorrow so I need to pick up some things he's going to need like a shower stool, wedge pillow, meds, etc. I also need to sanitize his bathroom good, and change the sheets on the bed sometime. It will be good to have him home and stop running back and forth all the time!
New Day
Hang in there Sherry! Glad to hear your DH is on his way home. Try to remember to take care of yourself in between caring for him.
Muriel
So much for cleaning and tidying, just not in the mood! (which is really tough as it needs doing!) So this morning I finished the Pub in a tin, now i've uploaded my pics. Watching the Grand Prix, then I'll continue cleaning.... I must, I must! heidiiiii
Oliver is making life difficult this morning. I am trying to write the MoM article for this month and he keeps jumping on the keyboard..Grrr! I will have to do it when he is taking a nap! I guess I will just do some more laundry. heidiiiii
You ever have a wasteful day? Where you basically do nothing at all. That was me today. I did practically nothing. NOTHING!
Muriel
Yeah, I get those days too sometimes Heidi. Sat on my bum most of yesterday, but did get a couple loads of laundry done and finished the pub tin. Also painted a patch of ceiling in the bathroom where the paint was peeling. Today will be catch up day, this sitting room is a mess, and the bathrooms need a clean. Hope this week goes well, everyone is back at work, so it will be catching up there too. Right, better get going! Hope everyone has a good week. Sherry
Well, one more day, but hopefully I will get to bring him home today. DS is off to his first day at his new job, but DIL has the day off, so she will help me get him home if that happens. Keep your fingers crossed that he gets to come home, and that his biopsy results are good, please!

heidiiiii
Do not feel as lazy today as I did yesterday. Just took out all the recyclables for trash collection. I bought the ingredients to make a sweet potato pie. I think I will do that today. I think I was just tired and needed the rest. After dinner last night, I passed out rather early. It is going to rain today so i think I will spray myself with some bug spray and go do some weeding. Weeds come up easier in the rain. AuntDee
We are gettting some much needed rain today, so I won't be doing any gardening. it has been cold out. Highs only in the 50's! Instead i will sort thru paper work and organize our office. And since it is so dreary I think I will just take a nap. Rita
justmesue
Spend the weekend cleaning the RL house, emptied closets, moved heavy furniture and found permanent spots for some dollhouses. Today, it's off to work for a well needed rest, LOL
Sherry
Got DH home, finally! Then I ran to the grocery and drug store for prescriptions and the stuff to make him some lasagna for dinner. he wouldn't eat that hospital food at all. so we'll stuff him tonite. But I'm give out and will take a short nap before I start cooking! I'm just so glad he's home, even if he is acting 'poor pitiful me, wait on me hand and foot', while already on the phone and laptop doing business! ilovecats
I am off tomorrow and plan to spend the day working on some mini project or another. i have not been very motivated the past 6 months or so, don't know why. i do want to work on mini's but i don't make the time. i have the time to do it but waste it on other things. i miss working on dollhouses! so, tomorrow is a dedicated mini day! Sherry
I'm hoping I can have a mini day also! I need to get out and weed one spot in the grass where there are still grassburrs coming up. The lawn man must have missed it with the pre-emergent. Clean the kitchen, and then mini. I want to get the baseboards down in the bathroom and then the construction on the front of the house will be done. I also would like to get drapes made for the master bedroom, but still haven't decided exactly how I want to do them...that will require a bit of sitting and thinking! lmgervais
DH's grandmother died early this morning of heart failure - she was in her 90's and kept having problems with her heart. So, we will be going to the funeral in a few days. It is a 6-7 hour drive away. His mother is still hanging on and she has been in palliative care almost 2 months. Although she could die at any time, she could also keep going for a while longer. This waiting is stressing us all out.

Anna
Liza, I am sorry to hear about your loss! Since we just came home from visiting hubbys grandma and she wasn't to well today it feels a bit rough so to speak... It isn't easy to get old, that is for sure! Will just hang back around here for a while, and try to reload some sort of energy... Hugs
lmgervais
Thanks. Angéline was a wonderful lady over the 20 years I knew her. Apparently, even to the last few days, she would still smile and be cheerful when she had visitors. We have not seen her since last summer, and she was still going strong then. She was born in 1914, married in 1931, and her husband died in 2004 after a long illness. She was 95 years old. And, how many people can say that they were married for 73 years! She had 17 kids, 16 that lived to grow up, with only one set of twins. 15 of them are still alive but two, including my MIL, are slowly dying now. She leaves behind about 50 grandchildren, lots of great-grandchildren, plus one great-great grandchild and another one on the way. She will be missed by many.
