Jeffrey
I looked at the product page and it said it was made of pvc board. Does this mean its plastic?
heidiiiii
Kinda Sorta. But not really...LOL I know that doesnt answer your question.. I do not the know the exact name of the stuff it is made from. Maybe someone who has built theirs can tell you exactly what it is made of. Mine is still in the box.
Jeffrey
At first I thought the white orchid was some kind of contest where everyone had to build an orchid, paint it white and do something cool with it but I finally looked it up and found out it was a special edition. chesterfieldzoo
The White Orchid is pure white plastic/resin type stuff. You need to use special glue (quick grip is one of them). No splinters, no sanding. Details are wonderful. They were a limited edition. They look magical when put together. A solid white painted house made of wood just isn't the same. havanaholly
Here is the gallery of WOs built so far: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/i...q=sc&cat=46 The adhesive of choice would be a methyl ethyl ketone-based solvent such as you'd use with polystyrene. I haven't yet built meine, wlthough the dolls who shall live in it are sculpted.
wenlaine
Oh it was a beauty to put together. No sanded needed and went together very easily and quickly. I think everyone should try one at least once.
