    Whitney Plantation Mantel Detail

    From the album: Whitney Plantation, Wallace, Louisiana

    The wooden mantel of the fireplace in one of the bedrooms is intricately carved. I suspect that back in the day, it carried a faux marble finish, but it apparently has not been cleaned and/or restored.
