From the album: Victorian Farmhouse
Started working on the window boxes for the farm house. The ones I purchased were HUGE - probably mistakenly playscale?-so I cut the width down to a more reasonable size. Glued florist foam inside and then used little blooms gleaned from silk and plastic flowers I found at the craft store. I added "growies" to spill over the sides and used brown landscaping material for the potting soil. -

I found this great pleated lace to make curtains! Looks very cute in all of the windows.-

From the album: Country House - Renovated
I was wondering what I should put in my window box for the fall, and the answer was obvious all the while. My friend Maureen (same name) also has a mini window box, and she gave me the idea. -
From the album: Mosie's Room
Here is the box standing upright again and all set for the fall. Now that she "got her feet wet," Mo made the announcement that she is ready to take on a dollhouse. I am so excited, I can hardly wait.- 1 comment

The window box is now glued on the box. You cannot tell from the picture, but the opening of the box is face down, so that the window box can rest on a flat surface without being suspended.-

From the album: WyckedWood Beacon Hill~The Sea Hag~
I put in the overgrown vines that will b the roses for the kitchen window. Ive been looking fw to doing this window, its my favorite window of the house. I don't think I will use the ivy this time, because I don't want to cover the design on this window box and I also want to save what I have left of the ivy for the front of the house. I realize how unrealistic this is....with the large tree like vines in this box...but I think when I get to the stage of actually doing a landscaped base, I will make it look like the vines broke through the bottom of the box and will grow a little beneath it too...just a thought...but I also don't care if its unrealistic, I love the abundance of the flowers around the windows. I have some flower kits to "plant" in this box too. I love stages like this, where you know the house will never look quite the same again:-)
