  1. Hope I am obeying the rules. I am "New" here, but my eBay record is visible, and I can point to when I bought and sold high end cinema cameras and gear. I am happy to provide additional photos or details if requested. (1) Arrow Kit 750 Royal Dream Kit in original box, Appears complete, I counted the main wood sheets. I am not sure if any shingles or other loose pieces. Box is old masking tape nightmare, but it is there. (2) Kit: Dura Craft Heritage HR 560
  2. Hi there- I am searching for a Charleston single house dollhouse kit. So far, I've only found one that's very expensive and one that's too small. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a vintage kit that might be less expensive? I grew up in a Charleston single house, so it's very sentimental for me. TIA! 3. Hello! Honestly just checking out dollhouses and miniatures. I was gifted my grandmothers dollhouse made in the 70's and I really want to renovate it and fix it up! I have always had a fascination with miniatures though! Have a good day!
  4. So, I was nosing around on Market Place and I saw a pretty dollhouse that someone wanted $150 for. I didn't think the dollhouse was worth that, so I kept looking. I came back every day looking and then I saw this new one listed. The seller was asking $189 for it, and I thought it was worth a lot more. I contacted her and asked if it was still available. She indicated it was and said she had to get rid of it by Tuesday. Perfect, I said. I will come get it. THEN I had to figure out how we were going to bring this dollhouse home. We wound up renting a uHaul van and loading it up into the van and
  5. My family just recently relocated, and in moving I found an old box that had a dollhouse kit in it. According the the papers included and postage on the box, it is a kit for a Yieldhouse Saltbox Dollhouse made in 1971. The box had a tattered paper inside of it that actually had instructions on building, as well as a note about a "Best Dollhouse" competition dated to take place between September 1971 and September 1972. The kit is brand new, all the pieces are there, it has never been put together or painted. I'm really just looking for any kind of information about the dollhouse, as I have had
  6. Heirlooms Dollhouse Miniatures & Dolls Located in the Historic District! Aurora Oregon What a whirlwind of craziness it's been around here! Here is a bit of what's new..... I am thrilled to announce that Mike Clarizio's magnificent Chandeliers and table lamps are here! If you want the finest gold plated Swarovski Crystal Chandelier for your Dollhouse, these are exquisite. The table lamps are beautiful too! I admit I went a little crazy at an auction, I'll let all the pictures speak for themselves. If you see anything your interested in PM me, give me a
  7. I have a Real Scale Home Kit 1960 as pictured in a post by one of your members. Was something a friend of my Father-In-Law had and it looks to be pretty intact, as nothing looks like it was built with the kit. Suspect he was going to use it to design a house back in the day before CAD or design software. I have been holding onto it for years and am looking to sell it. (only reason I joined this site was the search query brought up the product on this site) If you are interested send me a message or email. I have digital pics I can send. Your site won't allow the ones I took due to size restric
  8. So I found this dollhouse at a consignment shop in Goderich, Ontario. There are no labels/identifying marks. Can anyone help me i.d. it? I believe it is either vintage and in great condition or created in a vintage look.
  9. Hello Everyone, Like so many other new members, I too am glad to have found this site and was pointed here earlier by another member Thank you. I live in Rochester Hills, Michigan and just purchased my first home; a vintage Farmhouse, that was started and never finished. Its in all raw materials, so I plan to continue, make a few modifications and add electricity. I have worked on real homes, but never a miniature and find it amazing, a great place to unwind and be creative. Did anyone else find themselves running in all directions with excitement to do this and that? I f
  10. I am nearing completion of my Beacon Hill and have run out of shingles since I decided to shingle the bays. My Beacon is a vintage kit from 1991 with the thicker shingles. I purchased some spare Greenleaf shingles from a Beacon kit off of Ebay recently, but they were from a more modern kit and were much thinner than mine. I only have the back tower roof left to do and estimate it will take about 100 shingles (including for cuts). Would anyone have spare any shingle strip sheets from an early 1990's GL kit that they would part with?
  11. Hi y'all! I'm really just looking for guidance, if possible. I know nothing about dollhouses or miniatures, but I recently found my old childhood dollhouse from the 1970's and don't have a clue what to do with any of it. I'm very sentimental, so I can't just toss it, but I need to find out about how to go about selling it, and selling the furniture. It was a kit, all wood, with a bunch of furniture (made in Korea?)...Is it intrusive to upload a few pictures to see if anyone here could point me in the right direction? Thank you so much for any help! Oh...I'm Kim and in Marietta, GA...

Here is a sneak peek of my first completed wall! This wall will eventually have the sink and toilet on it. Still needs grout and a little touching up. Can't wait to share the finished bathroom with ya'll! Only 2017263628289389 tiles left to install!!

From the album: The Glencroft Dollhouse: Bathroom

I fell in love with this bathroom the second I came across it. I knew this was the bathroom I wanted to use as my inspiration for my Glencroft's Bathroom. I plan on making all the subway tiles by hand using various materials. (Thinking about posting a tutorial) SO stay tuned!
  14. Hi everyone. I'm still looking for the Skilcraft Victorian Manor with Coach House, circa 1979. My parents originally purchased this dollhouse for me at Sears in Oregon, but I haven't been able to find any in kit on eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, vintage and antique stores; I just missed one sold off Craigslist in Long Island in November. Here is a picture with some related facts: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/vintage-skil-craft-victorian-manor-429438549 (You do not need to be a member to view this website). Anyhow...I am happy to pay for the kit and shipping or if you see it in y

LOOK WHAT I FOUND! I was browsing the Internet last night, trying to find something to date the flooring and/or wallpaper, when I found this picture. It didn't have an exact date on it, but was shown with other dollhouse styles around 1906. Almost identical to mine!

    Bath Time!

From the album: The Appleby Cottage

Spent a couple hours cleaning the little house all up. My research said not to soak wood with water (which was my first inclination) so I used a shopvac to blow into the crevices, then brushed all unpainted surfaces with a copper-bristled brush, then blasted it with air again. After that I took a vinegar/water mixture (1:1) and using a soft rag washed all surfaces, inside and out. Looks much better!

Here is the back of the Duracraft Farmhouse I bought off an online buy-sell-trade group. Fully furnished for $60! What a steal!
  18. From the album: Doll houses

Here is the front of my Duracraft Farmhouse 505. I purchased it through a local online buy-sell-trade group, fully furnished for $60! What a find! I'm so excited to redecorate it!

A detail shot of the blanket I crocheted for my doll's bed
  20. Bought this beauty through a local shop'n'swap online for $60 fully furnished. I can't for the life of Google identify it. The closest I've come is a variation on the 1979 Franklin. But the windows are different, the stairs aren't curved and are opposite... Plus some different interior wall placements. Anyone know what it is? Approximate measurements are: 31.5" Height 33.5" Width 19" Deep (which also closely resembles the Franklin) Sorry the photo is sideways, the uploader is giving me the dickens....
  21. So, I came across a gorgeous wall light a couple of weeks ago, but lost the auction on eBay. I tried to find more elaborate vintage lighting but it's been hard. I'm assuming Marie Toner doesn't make lights anymore? I plan to visit the Molly Cromwell show in September, does anyone know of any lighting vendors that may be there? I'm trying to find a few unique pieces for an upcoming project. Or does anyone have any good lighting recommendations? Theres a small mini shop here but their lights are a little expensive and a little too much. I want a nice in between.

  23. Hi, I am looking for the 1979 Skil-craft Victorian Manor with Coach House model 6830. This is the dollhouse my mom and I never finished that was wrecked in a typhoon. Happy to pay for the dollhouse and shipping. Contact me.
  24. Ah, craigslist has got its hooks into me again! I've searched all day for info about this one, but no luck. I thought it was a Worthington at first...but no...then I thought it was a half dozen other things...but again, no. A lot of "almost but not quite" possibilities. The flat rooftops on the wings and the large windows on the first floor are what I am not finding anywhere in my searches. Look familiar to anyone? They describe it as "antique, found in an Ohio farmhouse" but I don't know...does it really look antique? They only describe the size as "large" and the material
