From the album: Little Shop of Horrors(Yes I know it is upside down. I am still waiting for the glue to dry.) The ceiling and roof are a bit challenging due to the viewing window. I trimmed the ceiling pieces and installed them. I will probably try another round of Gesso and wiping to help hide the seams in the corners. The box is more than 17" wide, so I couldn't go one piece straight across. So far I like the way it looks.
From the album: Little Shop of HorrorsSooo...I was cutting the tin ceiling pieces when it dawned on me: the shop is kind of dreary and the ceiling is BRIGHT white. I thought for a while and came up with a solution. I took gray Gesso and painted a thin coat on the plastic. I then took a dry paper towel and wiped most of it off. It is almost a dry brush method, but it worked to take the shine off.
