What is the easiest way to atain 1,280 shingles for my dollhouse? Do I stain them individually? (I'm thinking yes is the answer to this question...) Thanks for any tips or shortcuts!

Hi. I am making my first dollhouse; a half scale Tennyson. The instructions say to use a hot glue gun and I am finding this very messy. Most on this forum seem to prefer wood glue. Pros and cons? I am also planning to stain the whole house instead of paint. Should I stain the pieces before gluing? Thanks for helping out a newbie. Geraldine

I bought these at Ace Hardware: American Chestnut, Hickory, Aged Oak and Cherry. I want to try staining some floors and HOM kits. Feel free to post if you have any special advice about this brand/type or colour. -
Ok, so I made this several days ago using vinegar and two steel wool pads...can anyone who is familiar with bug juice tell me if this is what its supposed to look like? Im a little afraid to open the lid....and my family is asking me to please get it off the kitchen counter Also, how do I use it from this point...should I strain it or just dip the paintbrush in? Id like to use it for aging some balsa brackets.
