I was quite happy with how the floors turned out! This is the view into the tower room. I added some gingerbread at the doorway for added interest. -
From the album: Victorian Farmhouse
This house had a poor quality fiber board for the floors so I replaced them with new birch. I decided to play with some different patterns and scored them, and then gave them some stain and gloss poly. I also decided that the 3rd floor attic was not very functional, so I lowered the divider walls a bit (the ceilings were over 10" high!), which will give a bit more headroom in the attic - enough for 2 additional, functional, rooms! Yay! -

Love the window blind samples my daughter found for me. Not sure how it shows up in picture, but my first attempt at scoring lines on the floor. Of course I forgot to pay attention to the grain of the wood, so I had to score both directions. Turned out for the best as it looks like a tile floor instead of wood floor.
