In this video, Chris Ramsey solves a puzzle that takes the form of a tiny village and a house. I thought you might enjoy it.

Flipped the floor (and therefore the rooms) so the refrigerator door would open into the kitchen and not into the wall. Decided after putting in the windows to make my very first "homemade" stairway which now covers a window. This is a situation of "wish I would have thought it through better". -

Decided the second story needs windows, but still working out placement and type so they look good on outside, but make sense with room arrangement on inside. -

Hubs says this room looks kinda creepy. I agree; it kinda looks institutional to me. I made the false door from cardboard, the back of scrap wallpaper, and a plastic bead for the knob. Not too bad for a first attempt.© ©bunnyraindrop 2014

The one calm room in the main part of the house. I used felt for the carpet. Throughout the house; moldings are bamboo skewers and baseboards are skinny sticks.© ©bunnyraindrop 2014

I made the step from scrap wood. It looked weird with the door just kinda hanging out in outer space!© ©bunnyraindrop 2014

Love the window blind samples my daughter found for me. Not sure how it shows up in picture, but my first attempt at scoring lines on the floor. Of course I forgot to pay attention to the grain of the wood, so I had to score both directions. Turned out for the best as it looks like a tile floor instead of wood floor. Thank you Debora (Dalesq) for showing how-to score floor in Maus Haus Buttercup Bash gallery pic.- 1 comment

Stopped at quite a few Michael's in four states looking for one that carried the puzzle houses I read about here on the forum. Paid full price for the two styles they had as I didn't think to print out a coupon before starting the road trip. Remembered the van was in a storage bin of grandsons' outgrown vehicles. Plan to decorate this as a beach house. -

Only the sink and stove with some countertop fit in the space under the stairs. The refrigerator is in the dining room. -

During the dry fit, the house told me it wanted a bathroom. Since I wanted this to be a fun and quick project, I decided it would be OK to just put the shower in the tower and enclose part of the porch for the sink and toilet. -

I didn't find any hutches at Michael's , but I did get this for $4.00 , it will be a mouse house. -
Puzzle house bedroom with rehabbed Cassidy Creations washstand

The washstand doesn't do as good a job as the dresser that was here before of hiding the wallpaper gap where the dormer meets the wall. Oh well.© Emily Morganti 2013
